SPVC's mission is to create a platform for athletic development, college scholarship exposure, and personal growth for junior volleyball players in Louisiana.  Our coaches emphasize the importance of leadership, development of individual skills, team participation and a positive work ethic.

 

1. Quality Coaches
We staff each of our club teams with awesome coaches. All of our coaches are currently or have been varsity level coaches (or players) throughout Louisiana, accumulated to advancement of middle school and primary volleyball in Louisiana, or played on the collegiate level.

 

2. Commitment

We trust in the power of quality repetition and fundamental skill development. Experienced coach instruction is essential for skill development. Scientific research suggests that it takes 3,000 consistent repetitions to make a habit, but only 1 repetition to potentially make a bad habit. Skill training takes a long-term commitment, great coach instruction, and a positive motivational climate. 

 

3. Care

We allocate one court per team per two hour practice for each team. We make it a point to ensure that each athlete feels she is a part of a family at SPVC.  We want them to have pride and purpose every time they step foot on a volleyball floor.  It is our belief that if we push the athlete within our training process while showing them we care about them we can drastically increase the level of development individually.
